Luxembourg

One of the greatest benefits of jet lag: the inability to sleep properly, so you’re forced out of bed in the wee smalls. You’re free to roam about your location sans crowds, traffic, and excessive noise.

I came upon Luxembourg Gardens in the 7:00 AM hour, which was ideal. Excepting the occasional jogger, I was alone to enjoy the Garden’s misty, antique landscape and its  soundtrack–a muffled blend of  birdsong, rippling fountain, and the stones crunching under joggers’ feet.
