As ever, despite firmest intentions, once a semester begins (this time it’s summer session), it absorbs me gradually, but completely, until the semester ends. Consequently, I haven’t posted at all, which also means that I haven’t worked on my writing project at all (tentatively: “20 Streets”: detailed histories, descriptions, and photographs of–you guessed it–20 fascinating streets). However, I *do* have copious notes, questions, maps, text, and about 18,000 photos to work with. I anticipate some kind of production in the (relatively) near future!
In the meantime, please feel free to follow my on Instagram (that’s my QR code below. Or you can just find me at japollard1), where I post my photos and potted descriptions of places from my wanders.
I’m also on Threads, BlueSky, and Mastodon. That’s pretty near all the major social sites, I guess, but each of the sites has a very different mood, mission, and audience (for example, I find that Threads a delightfully kind, supportive, and encouraging community–but it’s early days yet). The sites have pretty significant differences, and I enjoy moving between them.
If you’re one on of these sites, please say “hi”–it would be great to chat with you!
Thank you!
