Blackfriars Pier to London Bridge Pier: a bit from an extended journey on the River Thames on a lovely spring day this year.
We started at Blackfriars Pier with southern views (the Shard, Tate Modern, Blackfriars Railway Bridge, and One Blackfriars). After setting off, views shift to the north side of the river and include St. Paul’s Cathedral, Queenhithe, the Victorian entrance to Cannon Street Station, Vintners’ Hall, Fishermongers’ Hall, the towers of St. Magnus the Martyr and Monument, and Old Billingsgate Market. Bridges include Cannon Street Railway Bridge, Southwark Bridge, and London Bridge, We stopped at London Bridge City Pier before moving east.
